You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit
www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985–3059.

Effective December 1st, our clinic requires all patients who schedule an appointment to place a card on file. This policy helps us improve scheduling and appointment availability for patients.
No-Show Fee
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, a $20 fee will be charged to your card on file.
This fee must be paid before you can schedule another appointment.Late Cancellation Fee
If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, a $20 fee will be charged to your card on file. This fee must also be paid before you are allowed to schedule again.
Emergency Cancellations
We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel within 24 hours due to an emergency, please call the clinic immediately. We will determine whether the cancellation fee can be waived and whether you may reschedule without penalty.
FAQ
-
At 3W Medical for Women you can always expect to be treated with respect by our caring staff and licensed medical professionals.
Our medical professionals do not rush through appointments. They take time to listen to you and answer your questions.
Our health care providers will assess your needs from a holistic perspective and determine how to best serve you. All conversations are confidential (as allowed within Washington State law).
All medical services at 3W are provided by licensed medical professionals under the direction and supervision of our Medical Director.
-
Please bring a valid form of ID (a passport, driver’s license, ID card, or student ID will suffice).
If you are planning on getting any labs done, a form of payment is also needed. We accept cash, credit or debit card, and mobile payments (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, etc.). We do not accept checks.
-
You will receive a link to our patient intake and consent forms via text and email from our check-in system, Phreesia, about 48 hours prior to your visit.
These forms include a review of any medications you are on, allergies you have, your past medical and family history, symptoms you are currently experiencing, and consent agreements.
Please complete and sign these forms electronically before coming for your appointment so that we can maximize your time with our providers.
-
You are welcome to bring a friend or partner to your appointment.
We ask that you do not bring more than one person, though special accommodations can possibly be made in exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of our medical providers.
-
Appointments at 3W are up to an hour long. Many appointments can be completed in less time, but an hour is available in case you need it.
Please note that if you arrive late, we cannot extend the length of your appointment to make up for lost time.
-
Urine pregnancy test results will be given to you during your appointment by a medical professional.
STD test results usually come back within 48 hours from the time they are sent to the lab.
Pap smears may take up to a week to come back, but typically come back sooner.
You will receive a notification when your results are available to view on your patient portal.
-
We can email you our lab fees or share them with you when you call.
Except for FEMM consultations ($25 per person per hour) and labs that must be sent out for external processing (fees from $16 and up), our services are free-of-charge, including appointments, exams, ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, and urine analysis.
Donations are welcome but never required to receive our care.
-
Please call us if you need to reschedule your appointment so that we can match you with the correct provider for your appointment type and accommodate any testing needs you may have.
To cancel an appointment, please call us or use the text cancellation option provided with your electronic appointment reminder.
-
We do not take insurance because our exams and most services are free-of-charge.
Since we are donor-funded and do not make money off your reproductive health choices, we only charge for labs (Pap smear, STD testing, vaginitis panel) that need to be sent to an external lab.
We also charge $35 for FEMM consultations, but these are not eligible for coverage under conventional insurance plans anyway.
-
We will try our best to accommodate requests to be seen by a specific provider, but cannot guarantee the fulfillment of your requests.
Accommodation is dependent upon the provider's availability, the needs of your appointment, and other scheduling factors.
